Nikola Tesla: the original asexy hipster.

Just to clarify, Tesla didn’t invent electricity. He did perfect the idea of Alternating Current which is what most of us know as electricity. It’s what comes out of our wall sockets and is usually converted to Direct Current by a transformer. Direct Current was terrible at sending electricity over long distances. Alternating Current, on the other hand, is much more efficient. Therefore, we have Nikola Tesla to thank for our ability to live very very very far away from power plants and still have electricity pumped through our walls!
